A road safety initiative focused on outback driving has been released today, detailing some of the conditions encountered on outback Queensland roads as well as dash cam footage from an incident in 2018.

While no one was seriously injured, the dash cam footage depicts a collision which happened between Windorah and Birdsville during the busy tourist period.

As shown in the footage, traffic on the road creates extra dust which then becomes a visibility hazard for motorists.
